Michelle & Amy Collins are a mother daughter partnership, local to the Whitsunday Region. Both having first moved to the area in 2004, Michelle and Amy fell in love with the region and have gone on to make Cannonvale their home.
Michelle and Amy have very high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness, watching carefully for the safety of all equipment, furniture, and resources. Providing effective communication to families and other educators, maintaining healthy administration viability, providing quality food and consumables, whilst ensuring all facets of the working space is efficient and productive. We know the educators are the ones who are going to be developing your child’s daily education and social awareness, but we have the enormous task of being the backup to the Educators, supporting them and providing them with the necessary tools for their job.
We rated as ‘Exceeding Quality’ with our regulating bodies for our latest Child Care facility in NSW after only 18 months of operation. We will bring that Exceeding Support to the Jungle Zoo family as well.
Claire Dennis – Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor
Claire our Director embarked on her Early Childhood Education and Care journey at the tender age of 18 studying certificate III in Child Care. She then went onto study her Diploma whilst raising her family children. Re-entering the work force full time a few years later, she then studied Advance Diploma in Children’s Services.
Throughout this time, Claire has been employed in many areas of the Early Childhood sector working in varies leadership positions spanning from long day care, family day care and being a part of committees that advocate for children and educators. Claire is currently undertaking study in trauma informed practice to become a certified Interplay facilitator. To this day she remains committed to lifelong learning and nurturing the minds of young learners.
Her most cherished achievements are her amazing adult children and grandchildren. They are kind humans who display compassion with a twist of fun and humour. As a professional Claire instils this empathy and connection with children, staff and families. She believes passionately that it takes a village to raise a child and feels very privileged to be a part of helping little minds grow. Claire thrives to ensure every interaction with children is an opportunity to inspire curiosity, foster creativity and lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
